Thirty years of thermosetting powder coatings, from Zhangzhou to seven bases
Fujian Wanan Industry Group Co., Ltd. — WANAN — was founded in 1996 in Zhangzhou, Fujian, and manufactures thermosetting powder coatings for industrial manufacturers and professional applicators. The group runs seven production bases in China and Cambodia with about 80,000 t/year capacity, a Powder Coating Research Institute, a provincial enterprise technology center and a CNAS-accredited testing center, and has ranked among China's top three producers by volume for several years.
What WANAN does
WANAN manufactures thermosetting powder coatings for industrial manufacturers and professional coating applicators. We support product selection, color matching and coating trials for corrosion protection, weather resistance and customized finishes. WANAN's quality management systems cover the design and manufacturing of thermosetting powder coatings, and its testing center is accredited by CNAS. Product and project suitability remains subject to the applicable product documentation, customer requirements and coating trials.
WANAN's core business is the research, development, manufacture and sale of thermosetting powder coatings, with one-stop coating solutions built around the customer's part, substrate, service environment, pretreatment and spray line: product selection, colour matching and sampling, sample evaluation and line-trial validation. Service is delivered through direct sales and regional offices, with technical engineers supporting customer lines.
Product families span functional powders — high-temperature, low-temperature-cure, heavy-duty anti-corrosion, electrical-insulation, weather-resistant — and decorative powders including bonded metallics and heat-transfer base coats, across epoxy, pure polyester, epoxy-polyester hybrid and polyurethane chemistries.
Research & standards
Powder Coating Research Institute (2003), Wanan Chemical Research Institute (2018) and a provincial enterprise technology center. About 100 patents and national or industry standards led or contributed to, including lead drafting of HG/T 2006-2022, the core Chinese standard for thermosetting and thermoplastic powder coatings.
Manufacturing
Seven bases in Fujian, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Shandong, Henan and Cambodia. The Zhangzhou headquarters operates an intelligent workshop commissioned in 2025 and a national 5G smart-logistics warehouse with AGV handling, listed in MIIT's 2024 5G Factory directory.
