RAL shades, custom matching, metallics and textures
WANAN supplies its powder coating series in RAL K7 shades and custom-matched colours, with gloss agreed per project and measured at 60° (ISO 2813). Smooth, sand-texture, wrinkle, bonded-metallic, heat-transfer base and art-effect finishes are available. A library of about 100,000 formulated sample panels shortens matching for repeat and near-match colours.

Can WANAN match a colour that is not in the RAL range?
Yes. Send a physical sample panel, a paint chip or a reference from another colour system. WANAN's laboratory matches the shade, gloss and texture, then issues colour panels for approval before production. The library of roughly 100,000 formulated sample panels means most near-match shades can be produced from an existing formulation with minimal development time.
How is gloss specified and measured?
Gloss is agreed per project and measured at 60° with a gloss meter according to ISO 2813. Typical bands are matt (below about 30 GU), satin (30–70 GU) and gloss (above 70 GU). Textured and metallic finishes are approved visually on panels rather than by gloss reading alone, because surface structure changes the measured value.
Are metallic and textured finishes suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, when built on a weather-resistant polyester such as P480, P720 or P1680. Bonded-metallic powders are used outdoors on building products and outdoor equipment; sand-texture and wrinkle finishes hide substrate defects and handling marks. Approval panels are sprayed under production-like settings because film build and gun parameters change the final effect.
