UL LLC Certificate of Compliance UL-US-2582808-0 (report MH67657-20250827, issued 29 August 2025) confirms that representative samples of WANAN model WA-DQ 001A have been evaluated under UL 1332 (Edition 5) as a recognized component in category DTOV2 — organic coatings for steel enclosures of outdoor-use electrical equipment — as a 1-coat system on pretreated SPCC cold-rolled steel.

Where it is used
Manufacturers of energy-storage cabinets, outdoor distribution boxes, EV-charger housings, telecom and power cabinets and other outdoor electrical equipment steel enclosures for the North American market can reference WA-DQ 001A in their enclosure documentation. Frequently asked questions
Does UL 1332 recognition apply to all WANAN powder coatings?
No. The recognition is limited to model WA-DQ 001A applied as a 1-coat system on pretreated SPCC cold-rolled steel, as stated on certificate UL-US-2582808-0. Other WANAN series such as E, EZ, P480, P720 and P1680 are specified by their own TDS values and are not covered by the UL recognition.
Can our enclosure carry the UL Mark because the coating is UL 1332 recognized?
A recognized component coating is one input to the enclosure manufacturer's own UL investigation. The coating certificate does not by itself authorise any UL Mark on the finished enclosure, and WANAN's certificate expressly states that it does not authorise the UL Recognized Component Mark outside the Follow-Up Services procedure. Enclosure certification is completed by the equipment manufacturer with UL.
What data does WANAN provide for WA-DQ 001A?
WANAN provides the UL Certificate of Compliance, the report reference MH67657-20250827, the model designation, substrate and system definition, plus the technical data sheet and application parameters for WA-DQ 001A on request. Enclosure manufacturers should specify the model, pretreatment and 1-coat system exactly as recognized.
